Meeting Structure

Achieve meeting effectiveness through structure

What is Meeting Structure?

Meeting models.png

The Meeting Structure engagement provides a framework for developing consistent meeting structures across an organization to ensure meetings are effective. During the engagement, the client’s team works to develop organization-specific meeting templates that define a meeting’s purpose, outcomes, format, and expected participation. Active testing of the meeting models over a period of time helps refine the models to ensure the company has productive meetings going forward.

What does the Advisory Services engagement look like?

A Meeting Structure engagement is facilitated by a Certified Organizational ReWilding Adviser and consists of 4-6 meetings with the Leadership and Management Teams. Throughout the engagement, video content is used to communicate key principles to participants. The meetings include hands-on activities that identify meetings where there is room for improvement, design a structure for the meetings, and teach participants techniques for improving other common meetings.

The engagement concludes with participants having incorporated structure for at least two meeting types, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned directly to their organization.

How does Meeting Structure benefit a business?

Companies that complete a Meeting Structure engagement routinely experience these benefits:

  • More effective meetings in which participants are clear on the purpose, agenda, attendees, and structure.

  • Shared language and principles on meeting structure that help the organization continue to improve meetings going forward.

  • Improved visibility of the organization’s meetings, including which ones have the greatest negative impact on the organization.

  • Redesigned meetings that can immediately be used by the organization.

  • A plan for the organization to address other ineffective meetings.
