The Manager Challenges Assessment

The Management Team is a critical layer in your organization. Managers must effectively manage themselves, their staff, the work, and the workplace.

Further, while managers likely comprise less than 20% of your company, they are primarily responsible for the productivity, well-being, and development of the vast majority of people in the organization.

The strength of your management team is a key driver in the overall success of the organization.

The Manager Challenges Assessment will give you insight about the challenges that have the greatest impact on your management team and what skills and tools they need to help overcome those challenges. The assessment must be completed by the entire management team. Click below for more details and instructions.

What does the Manager Challenges Assessment tell me?

The Manager Challenges Assessment answers two questions for the Management Team:

What is the state of “ownership thinking” throughout the team?

It takes more than skills and tools to be an exceptional manager, it also takes a certain mindset - that of an owner. When the management team begins to think more like owners, great things start to happen. These managers begin to pursue what is good for the organization as a whole. They better understand the business, allowing them to take on greater responsibility and contribute to strategic discussions.

The Findings Report identifies the overall level of “ownership thinking” in the organization.

What challenges are most burdensome for the team overall and individual managers?

Every manager faces challenges. They never go away. A manager’s success is determined by how prepared the manager is to address those challenges.

This assessment assesses the frequency and intensity of the 27 top challenges faced by managers. The Findings Report identifies the most prevalent challenges impacting the management team overall, and which are most burdensome for individual managers.

The CEO has a unique window into the mindset of their management team.

The CEO has a clear picture of the state of their management team.

Ownership Thinking has taught my team how to understand really how the business works overall. So when they start to make decisions for their groups, they are making them from the company-level rather than just their group’s level.
