Growth Group Activities

Hands-On. Stimulating. Relevant.

Participants value the hands-on activities in each session, which enable them to instantly put their newly gained knowledge to work for their own businesses.

Dimension Activities

Through the Dimension activities, which take place during 3-hour sessions, participants gain insight into their organization’s current stage for a given topic and pinpoint any gaps between their reality and the ideal state for their Stage of Growth. This sparks discussions on the specific steps needed to achieve alignment.

Dimension Activity Example: Leadership Style

As an example of a Dimension activity, we’ll take a closer look at Leadership Style. Prior to the session where this topic is introduced, participants will watch a brief video that explains the concepts to lay the groundwork for that week’s discussion. During the session, the Growth Group Facilitator will lead an activity in which everyone takes an individual assessment to rank their Leadership Style and compares their results to the ideal for their company’s Stage of Growth.

The combination of preparation, discussion, and personal application results in meaningful concepts that have an immediate impact on the business. Participants walk away with actionable steps they can take to better align their Leadership Style with the ideal blend that best serves their business at its current Stage of Growth.

Element Activities

The Element activities, which take place during the 6-hour sessions, bring the principles to life with practical, results-driven exercises, leaving participants with a tangible deliverable to implement in their organization.

Element Activity Example: Revenue Circles

Similar to the Dimension activities, participants will watch a video in advance of the session when a topic is introduced so they are familiar with the concepts—in this case, Revenue Circles. Since Element activities are more involved, they take place during the once-quarterly 6-hour sessions to allow more time to complete. The example worksheet below shows what it looks like to determine what the three Revenue Circles are for a business: Core, Adjacent, and Edge. While the worksheet itself is simple, the process to come up with the answers requires time for critical thinking and discussion.

While most activities wrap up within the session, participants are encouraged to take the outcomes back to their businesses and apply them between meetings for real-world impact. This process is where true progress begins.

Facilitators expertly steer participants through each activity, while both they and fellow attendees offer valuable feedback as a collaborative sounding board. The activities that participants complete have a tremendous impact, not only on the way they run their businesses but also on their mindset. They are a critical part of the lasting, positive changes that come about during an 18-month Growth Group.
